I support Mike Reinhart running for re-election as Business Manager / Financial Secretary. As Mike is an experienced Business Manager and as looked after the Union in making good decisions.
The Job is very challenging at the best of times which I feel the Business Manager needs support and solidarity from the membership no change is needed at this time, keeping a strong team in place at this time I feel is right.

Mike Reinhart is the right choice to continue as Business Manager going forward. Mike has a great working relationship with the other IBEW LU Business Managers Canada wide putting a lot of our members to work during this lean time in Alberta. To elect a green no experience Business Manager at this time would possibly be fatal for the local he has the right stuff to lead us forward its a battle against the Non Union sector. He has also been frugal with the finances of the local finding ways to cut spending funds that are in short supply these days just what we need at this difficult time in Alberta for Unionised Trades.

Mike Reinhart would be a good choice to continue as Business Manager because he has always been available, knowledgeable and responsive to questions I’ve had over the years. He returns calls with answers or solutions. When I worked with Mike in the field it was the same. He listens to concerns and works diligently to produce fair and equitable results any time he is put to task. His calm, pleasant and understanding disposition are a good combination to have when dealing with people on many different levels.

The question for this election is one that is present in all elections regarding our collective futures. Which person running for office is able to function with frugal common sense in austere times but also envision needed changes to ensure a more prosperous future for our membership. I personally feel Brother Mike Reinhart has exhibited these qualities abundantly during his time as business manager of LU 424. He has cut wasteful spending and redundant aspects of the hall but has encouraged innovative and educational policies for both staff and membership alike. After a long period of slow growth and a sometimes stagnant job market, we need a candidate that will maximize the potential benefits we deserve. That candidate is Mike Reinhart, and I will vote for him to continue leading LU 424 as business manager in a future we will all build together.
